Florida’s Gulf Resorts

There is nothing quite like stepping out of your suite and on to the beach. Sounds expensive but it can be cheaper than you think. Brandenton Beach, Florida is that well kept vacation destination that the locals would rather keep to themselves. There are many independently owned boutique resorts dotted all along the Gulf shore and none are more that 2 stories tall. Yep, no high rises means this stretch of beach feels like “old Florida”. Many of theses resorts post their prices online but if you are willing to wait until the last minute to book a room you might be surprised with a rate as little as $65 per night but for a really nice view in a room directly on the Gulf you will spend a bit more. The last really good deal I got was for a lovely 2 bedroom suite that opened on to a private patio over looking the beautiful beach which cost us $179 per night. Watching the sunset from these private beaches will spoil your entire family and you’ll be planning your next visit before you even leave. My family fell in love with area after living in Sarasota for 5 years. We also enjoy knowing there isn’t much to do on the island except relax. There are many places to eat and few bars but the island pace always seems to slow us down and we enjoy our family time. My “happy place” is kicked back in a lounge chair watching a movie with the sounds of the ocean in the background. The picture to the left is one of my own and is located at a resort called “Cedar Cove Resort”. Doesn’t that just look like a little piece of fried gold? I run a tourist site called “Discount Orlando“ and I can tell from personal experience, when you need a vacation form your vacation, this is the place to be!
